The Trento Film Festival is once again back to transform the city into a celebration of mountains, culture, and storytelling. Running from April 25th to May 4th, 2025, this year marks the 73rd edition of one of the most captivating mountain film festivals in the world. It draws filmmakers, adventurers, and cinephiles to Trento, where stories unfold across cinemas, mountain trails, and community spaces.
As was the case last year, the festival offers many outstanding films that are unfortunately not always accessible to non-Italian speakers. The festival website still lacks a language filter, making it tricky to figure out which films are available in English or with English subtitles. So, we’ve done the legwork for you. Below is a curated guide of films from the 2025 edition that are accessible to English-speaking audiences—whether they are fully in English, subtitled in English, or feature no dialogue at all. To make it even easier for you to plan your visit to the festival, we’ve added all the below films to our event calendar. Head over to the events page to check it out.
