Japanese Wine Tasting
Japan is famous for the Saké, but do you know they also produce wine?
The event returns with the Japanese wines on the Klandestino Leno counter. This year, in addition to Riccardo Scrinzi, Mocca Cao will also be with us, a professional in the world of wine from Kofu, in Yamanashi.
Riccardo traveled to Yamanashi between 2023 and 2024 to know who cultivates the earth and works in the wine sector at the foot of Mount Fuji. The climate is impervious to the screw and the cultivation methods must be adapted for the warm and humid climate. Mocca met them, who works directly in the production of these wines and will be with us during his trip to Europe.
The evening is not by reservation and will consist of a free Mescita of Japanese wines from different Yamanashi productions from native vines. A dish of Japanese cuisine will be available.
Given the high interest for the evening of last year, we thought of offering a more informal format for this year, leaving the opportunity to choose the wine to the glass and have a chat with Riccardo and Mocca at the counter.
In Mesita:
* Koshu – autochthonous grape of Yamanashi – in different interpretations both firm and bubble, from different productions
* Muscat Bailey – autochthonous grape of Yamanashi – with different refinements from different productions
Bonus track:
* Muscat Bailey Chikumagawa of the Nagano Prefecture
He passes to the Leno Klandestino, speaks with Riccardo and Mocca and discover the production of wine in Japan under Mount Fuji. Compared with the other patrons, taste with us these unique and niche productions to discover new and out of the patterns, in full LK style!
The wine in Mesmita will be available until stocks last. The bottles are limited so we recommend arriving soon.
