Burn at the stake, of course; torn to pieces on scaffolds, among curious and excited city people; ridiculed by intellectuals; and forgotten, above all. The forest, freed from its spell, could be exploited according to modern technology: roads plowed through it, and the deforested straight lines penetrated into the thickest of trees.
