Performance: Liina Magnea – ssassin’s Creed (Lady says Stop)

‘ssassin’s Creed (Lady says Stop)‘ deals with the consequences of the madness of people whose power and social position are no longer being taken for granted. They declare themselves to be victims and fall prey to a self-righteous madness. People who see themselves as world improvers out of their supposed lack and claim to be the prophetic chosen ones. The consequences of this can range from founding sects to running amok. What kind of contemporary perpetrators and villains do they become when they feel deprived of their power? To which extreme do they destruct or ‘revolutionise’?

Obsessed with the idea of the immaterial Gesamtkunstwerk, Liina Magnea combines music, movement, film dramaturgy and internet scrolling into a shape-shifting, dynamic performance. She studied art and choreography and has had her work shown at Volksbühne, Schirn Kunsthalle and KW Center for Contemporary Art among others. She performs for other artists and supports people suffering from addiction aswell.
